Xpanner has launched the X1 Piling R6, a one-touch automated pile-driving system designed for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. Combining Xpanner’s automation technology with the Everstar R6 platform, the system automates machine travel, positioning, alignment and hammering, allowing a single operator to supervise the entire pile-driving process remotely.

The X1 Piling R6 uses high-precision satellite positioning, sensors and an integrated controller to drive piles to specified positions, depths and elevations while maintaining vertical alignment. Designed to reduce reliance on traditional two-person crews and separate surveying tasks, the system delivers a 45% faster cycle time than Xpanner’s previous generation. It supports piles up to 23 feet long, offers fine positioning adjustments without repositioning the crawler and allows transport with the mast assembled. Future capabilities are expected to include drilling and ground-screw installation.

Integrated with Xpanner Connect, the system provides real-time tracking of pile positions, depths, alignment and overall project progress through a live dashboard. Building on automation technology deployed at more than 67 U.S. job sites, the X1 Piling R6 became commercially available on October 26 through a subscription model that includes the machine, automation system, project management software and on-site support.
